Some low-priced panels may use base materials that are only 2.1–2.2 mm thick. Reliable manufacturers supply panels according to national thickness tolerance standards. Prices also depend on whether virgin aluminum or recycled aluminum is used. Recycled aluminum contains more impurities and is more likely to corrode or experience coating failure.
Q4: How should I choose between PVDF coating and polyester powder coating?
Three-coat, two-bake PVDF coating: Designed for exterior applications. It offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and acid rain, with a typical service life of 10–15 years and a coating thickness of 40–60 μm. Polyester powder coating: Suitable for interior applications only. It may fade or chalk after 3–5 years of outdoor exposure and should not be used as a low-cost substitute for PVDF coating on exterior walls.
